The CMCA announce an exclusive partnership to coincide with landmark edition

The 600th issue of Caravan World was sent to the printers today, to mark an extraordinary journey for Australia’s longest-running and most trusted caravan magazine of almost 50 years.

In recognition of the respect Caravan World has within the market, the Campervan and Motorhome Club of Australia (CMCA) announced an exclusive membership offer for Caravan World subscribers to be launched with the 600th issue.

From June 1, all Caravan World subscribers will get access to the CMCA membership with no joining fee (saving $16.50) while all 70,000 CMCA members will now be able to access the Caravan World digital subscription for free and add the print version of Caravan World to their annual membership.

CMCA expressed their excitement in partnering with Emprise Group Holdings to offer Caravan World subscribers the extra benefits of belonging to the largest RV club in Australia. CMCA CEO, Richard Barwick said “Caravan World subscribers who take up the offer will have access to a host of member advantages, receive substantial savings and benefits plus access to the Club membership magazine, the Wanderer”.

Mr Barwick added, “New members will also be able to access our low-cost RV Park network, a product that is unmatched by any commercial park anywhere in Australia. This alone is worth the membership fee”.

Emprise Group Holdings, which took over the publishing of Caravan World in 2016, released details of the CMCA partnership today as a fitting way to celebrate the landmark edition.

Emprise CEO, Rob Gallagher commented, “Caravan World has long been the consumer’s bible when researching and planning their caravan or RV purchase, or helping to guide their next big adventure.”

“Since we purchased Caravan World, we have focused on the credibility and the quality of the content. This has seen us buck the readership trend with both retail sales and

subscription sales stable against a backdrop of 20 to 30% annual declines across the broader magazine market.”

“The partnership with the CMCA, the largest caravan club in Australia, is recognition by both parties that together we can help grow this fabulous market and provide move value for our readers, our advertisers and our partners. We see this initiative as another important one to further grow our readership and connection to our core target markets.”

Caravan World has continued to show its relevance to the audience, with retail circulation up 5% compared to 2018 and subscriptions up 50% year on year, against a backdrop of a magazine market that has seen double digit declines in recent years.

The 600th issue showcases the journey from issue 1 back in 1970 and the key players whose voices have graced the pages of Caravan World over the journey.
